TICKET CAKE ANNOUNCES SEED FUNDING FOR PROFESSIONAL EVENT ORGANIZER PLATFORM
Las Vegas startup Ticket Cake is announcing a round of seed funding to help develop its platform for professional event organizers.
The round of funding was led by Las Vegas’ VegasTechFund, a seed stage investment fund focused on investing in founders and startups committed to building a vibrant, connected tech community in downtown Las Vegas.
Zeke Dumke IV, managing partner at Dumke Law, LLP and member of Olympus Angels in Salt Lake City, also contributed to the seed round investment.
The company launched in January 2011 at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, UT and was the primary seller of nightlife concerts and events open to the public. The company quickly grew traction because of its focus on unparalleled customer service for both ticket buyers and event organizers. Ticket Cake was previously founder-funded.
“In the past 18 months, we have processed nearly $1M in ticket sales. The team felt now was the perfect time to partner with the VegasTechFund to accelerate our growth,” says founder and CEO Joe Henriod about the funding announcement. “Our team is thrilled to move our home base from Salt Lake City to join the #VegasTech community in downtown Las Vegas.”
