Charlie Murphy’s career has rapidly evolved for decades from cast member of Chappelle’s Show to international comedian playing sold-out audiences around the globe. His stand up career embarked with the “I’m Rich Bitch” comedy tour featuring fellow Chapelle’s Show cast members. He then co-headlined Charlie Murphy and Friends with Mike Epps and followed that by co-headlining the Maxim/Bud Light Real Men of Comedy Tour with Joe Rogan and John Heffron. He authored an autobiography entitled The Making of a Stand Up Guy then his live stand up special and DVD Charlie Murphy: I Will Not Apologize debuted in February 2010 to rave reviews.

 

Murphy has been in numerous TV shows and films, working with some of the biggest names in Hollywood such as Denzel Washington, Halle Berry, Queen Latifah, Jamie Foxx, Samuel Jackson, and more. He starred in a multi-media advertising campaign for Nike’s Jordan Brand, and he co-wrote and appeared in the 2007 hit Norbit with his brother, Eddie Murphy. He recently appeared in the 2010 film Lottery Ticket with Bow Wow and also appeared on several episodes of the TV show Are We There Yet? Currently, Murphy’s 2nd DVD entitled Charlie Murphy’s Acid Trip is in pre-production already this year.
